New Member - Wilson Family

Hello All

I have recieved my membership package in todays post so thought I would say hello.

I am presently looking into my family bloodline which has my roots as far back as 1803 in Pontyfract. I look forward to meeting society members in the near future.

Anyone who has interest in the WILSON family from pontyfract feel free to get in touch.

Regards

Ernie

Hi Christine - Sorry for VERY LATE response - But I have been so busy - and taking advantage of our not to frequuent sunshine.

I think our wilsons may be on another branch to each other but almost certainly the same tree!!

My Grandfather worked in New Preston as a Bicycle production Manager in the early 1900's....

If I come across your family I will let you know.

Regards

Ernie

Hi Ernie,

I have Wilsons in my line aswell, and although they moved to Pontefract they came from Methley. All were coal miners. My connection is through my great grandmother Emma Wilson, born in Methley in 1874 to Ben(jamin) Wilson and Sarah Jane Colley. The family moved to Pontefract around 1880.

HELLO Again all

I have a connection to Methley.

And I als have a Benjamin Wilson - Yet to be confirmed born in 1806 in Monk Fryston - But he was named after his Grandfather ( benjamin Pickard) born in Kippax - so a tight little triangle really.

I am in the middle of clarifying these biths - beyond the IGI Listing as a source so will keep in touch and see if we have a connection.

Best regards for now

Ernie
