Normanton Families
I am researching my family who were originally from Ireland (likely to be Galway) and they all seem to end up in Normanton. These two sisters, one brother (although it's likely there were more) and their father were all in Normanton in the 1870/80s. All the men were coal miners. Their names were:
Lawrence Dooley (their father, died in Normanton in 1877)
Thomas Dooley (married to Kate Fleming)
Mary CUncannon (nee Dooley, married to Daniel Cuncannon)
Catherine or Kate Murphy (nee Dooley, married to Peter Murphy).
I would love to hear from anyone who knows of these families or any existing relatives in the area and would love to share information.
Apart from the census, and birth, death, marriage registers, does anyone know of any other local sources where I could find information about these families?
