TrainPlayer for Mac discontinued
It is our sad duty to inform you that the Mac version of TrainPlayer will no longer be supported.
The official news from our parters at TrainPlayer can be found here:
http://www.trainplayer.com/Site3/Products.html#Mac
Unfortunately, our partners had to discontinue TrainPlayer for Mac as maintaining a separate version for the small Mac market in parallel to the (alive and kicking) Windows version didn't make sense from a business point of view.
Please note that the TrainPlayer Export as introduced in RailModeller 3.1.4 will be kept for now.

Re: TrainPlayer for Mac discontinued
As a new user of your software, this is too bad. Hopefully you will be able to add your own simulation support down the road. In the mean time, looks like I'll have to use the Windows version of TrainPlayer.

Re: TrainPlayer for Mac discontinued
I'm not sure if the Windows version supports importing the intermediate file format written by RailModeller for TP import.
But I suppose you can always import the RM exports into TP/Mac and load the new TrainPlayer files into the Windows version.

Re: TrainPlayer for Mac discontinued
We are sorry to abandon the Mac users. If business picks up in the future, we may reconsider.
Meanwhile, all that work learning how to convert RM files has not gone to waste. The Windows version imports the same slif files as the Mac version did. You can export your layout from RM on the Mac, then import into TP on Windows.
The Import menu in the Win version has four choices: Atlas Right-Track, WinRail, AnyRail, and RailModeller. This is now available in all products, not just the TrackLayer package.
Small plug while I'm at it: we just released a new version which includes scenery drawing. Also revamped the website. Drop by and take a look, www.trainplayer.com.
