Problem with 3-D View
Hello,
I just updated to Railmodeller 3.1.3, and have run into a problem. I looked in the archives, but I did not see any relevant discussion.
I tried opening one of my saved worksheets, and tried toggling to 3-D view. When I do so, I get an error message as follows:
===
Texture Error
Failed to read texture "/Applications?Railmodeller ƒ/Railmodeller.app/Contents/Resources/Textures/border_wood".
Please check your RailModeller installation!
[ OK ]
===
A similar error message appears if I select another texture.
I checked the contents of the application package and the textures are in Contents/Resources/Textures/.
After the message appears, the worksheet does open in 3D view, with a white base texture. The error message then reappears.
I am running RailModeller under Mac OS 10.4.11 on a Dual 2.7-GHz G5 desktop.
In the past, with earlier versions of RailModeller, I have successfully used the 3-D view function.
I will greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Re: Problem with 3-D View
I should add:
My most recent update prior to v3.1.3 was v3.1.1. I did not do an intermediate update to v. 3.1.2.
In my pre-existing Railmodeller ƒ folder within my Applications folder, there is a "Data" folder. Inside this "Data" folder are:
-- a folder named "3D Textures";
-- a folder named "Language Support"; and
-- mr rm.key.
Inside the folder named "3D textures" are texture files named:
border_wood
lawn
meadow
plywood
sand_a
sand_b
wood_a
wood_b.
These texture files are in addition to the textures that I see in the application's package contents (Contents > Resources > Texture).

Re: Problem with 3-D View
Could you try quitting the application and then renaming the "Railmodeller ƒ" to simply "RailModeller"?
This might fix the problem, we had a similar issue some time ago with paths to other files.

Re: Problem with 3-D View
Thank you, Jan. That worked!
For what it is worth, I never had problems with prior versions when I had appended the ƒ to the folder name. Version 3.1.3 seems more sensitive in this regard.

Re: Problem with 3-D View
Well, there's a lot 'under the hood' kind of work going on to keep pace with the evolving operating system.
This might sometimes cause existing functionality to break as a side effect of keeping things working in newer releases of the OS..
It never stops ;-)
