what the **** is going on is anyone really intersested in cars or drag racing ?

this page is as dead as ELVIS ..if something doesnt happen soon then im sticking to the US forums..

shut it down sponge theirs nothing but gay wannabes on here ......

I have to agree, this forum was set up for the Club to use. But most choose not to promote the Club on line or contribute anything useful at all.

Yes I have heard all the excuses.."No Computer" "No Time" "Don't have anything to say"..Well 2500 people hit the Motorsport site every month I guess they are all non Club members...What do they think when there is no activity o the site..Is the Club dead?..Out to lunch?

Its about time some of the so called dedicated members grew some balls and actually post something and not just text their mates about whats going on in their world.

I'm still waiting for someone to take over the running of the web site and forum as I am no longer with the Club. If nothing is done in the next couple of months it will be left on its own to die a slow death.

Yes Very Quiet.... I travel to Adelaide every Wednesday for a course Im doing so I becomes difficult to get to club meetings.
It would be good if a few more people did post on here, just to keep up with what people are doing.
 
I've got my new engine in the HK and running. At this stage its making all the right noises and runs pretty good.

I was hoping to get to Mildura for the Easter Meeting but I still need to upgrade the tailshaft and axles before I'd be happy to give it a workout on the track, I haven't got enough spare cash at the moment to get that done before easter.

Mildura have a couple of Street Meets / Test'n'tunes in May so I hope to get to one of those.

They also plan on running another comp meet on the June Long Weekend.

Sponge it was bought up at the last meeting about maybe Stuart taking over this but he wasn't there.
Yes club members or some should get off the F*****backsides and do something. Same ol same ol members plodding along doing everything. It's a pity that some of the ex members don't come and help emoticon
When the club needs support they jump ship. (No not you Sponge)

 emoticon i think sponge is doing a fine job of the web page it just needs more posters...and about anything!!

i like to here a story, what is everyone up to ?

as for members or ex members getting off their backsides and when support is needed they jump ship...i dont think thats a true representation of most of the RACERS who attend events givin that most are busy attending to their vehicles or preparing and havent the time to bang in a few droppers or man gates etc...
all i know is their are a few members/ex members who have used their vehicles to promote the club and spent a considerable amount of money and time/time off work etc WITHOUT complaining.....

Unfortunately as with most Clubs you will have the do-ers and the non do-ers. The Motorsport Club being focused on building a strip had huge support at the start which has dwindled over time due to lack of progress. What remained was a core of people wanting to see the project come to fruition.

You can't blame ex members who are more interested in their own cars/lives/projects and not the general running of the Club or events for not helping out.
I remember Mark and Gav towing their cars down for the show at Wayville just to promote the Club. This was good as it showed the people of Adelaide what we where up to. Trev and Cheryle spent all day on the club display selling tickets and promoting the Club as well. This was all done at no cost to the Club, I would expect Gav and Marks fuel bill to be over a hundred dollars.

I can see both sides of the coin, some Club members want to organise more outings and events and others want to sit on their ass and do nothing...
The one thing I have noticed is that the members dont bring the family along to BBQ's ect. The Club needs to project a image of being family friendly and not just a group of guys in cars.

But what would I know I have dropped out of the Club completely. This is mainly due to the Clubs new direction which I do not agree with...Will I be back? I dont know, I'm having too much fun out here in syber space.

well good to see people are using the forum. thats great. however i think it should be used for more positive subjects towards the club etc. as for taking ova the website i believe another member of the club should step up and have ago. as i have to much on the go as it is. thanks for the offer but no thanks.

i would like to further more thank sponge for the work he has done within the club. he has done quite a lot.

as have alot of members and past members taken there cars places helping at shows. i think the club in it self needs to start looking out the square and promoting ourselves. we havent done anything in a while. Lets get going and show them we are still alive.

Shucks! Thanks again Stu for those kind words...
Yes this forum should be put to better use but at the moment we seem to only have around 5 regular posters and no one seems to have anything to post.

I agree that someone else should have a go at running the web site. Stu has his hands full and does not need anything else on his plate..

Maybe if I deleat the car pics and put some nice busty girls on the homepage that might get some interest lol.
There is a idea...How about a Miss Riverland Motorsport monthly picture? Know any local ladies willing to pose for April? emoticon
If that happens Ill stay on as chief photographer.

A lot of the sponsors logo's need to be removed and the whole site redone..I noticed some of the accomodation links dont work anymore due to the sites being closed or moved.
