Re: hoons...
I know what you mean. This is my pet hate. If it were up to the Government I'm sure they would like us all to be driving nice slow white Corollas! Once the media latch on to something they dont want to let go. And somehow every hoon out there is a 'drag racer'. If I go out and kick the footy with the kids does that make me a footballer? I cringe every time they mention hoon and drag racing in the same sentence.

Re: hoons...
Yup agree!, Now if you turn to page 106/107 in the same Sunday Mail "THE LIST" you will see photo's of 50 people, and of those 35 of them have a glass of grog in their hands... Did they all go home by bus or taxi? did any of them drive while over the limit?
These are the people who think they are above the law and hop in their cars after a few to many wines. Its ok for the Sunday Mail to openly endorse alcohol but a few guys (by the photos it was a few guys) smoked a few tyres out away from houses and traffic and they get branded "Hoons and Idiots".
If they had a place to do this on a Friday or Saturday night they wouldn't be doing it on the street.
Why did councils build skate parks for kids? To get them of the footpaths...So the answer is clear!

Re: hoons...
I'll agree to that. Recieved a letter from some drag racer AND medic from Perth the other day and was really interesting reading. Talbled at next meeting. Apparently there was something on ABC on Monday about racing.

Re: hoons...
I can't see how they will do that, because if you have a loan on your car the bank or who you have the loan with will jump up &down saying that they own the car.

Re: hoons...
It will be up to the discretion of the Police Commisioner who's car gets crushed.
So I would say it will only be the real bad eggs that get their cars crushed.
But there has been some discussion about seting up a new body to represent registered vehicles owners in this state. I would hate to see a yearly vehicle inspection law brought in...I doubt my HQ would pass.
