Re: Aliens Prequel
UPDATE
About a few months ago I posted that Fox wanted to do an Alien Prequel but would only do it if Ridley Scott would direct. Well he's been tapped to direct the Prequel.
The Script is written by Jon Spaihts
from Variety
quote: (Jon) Spaihts got the job after pitching the studio and Scott Free, which will produce the film.
The film is set up to be a prequel to the groundbreaking 1979 film that Scott directed. It will precede that film, in which the crew of a commercial towing ship returning to Earth is awakened and sent to respond to a distress signal from a nearby planetoid. The crew discovers too late that the signal generated by an empty ship was meant to warn them.
The deal gives Fox another chance to keep the Alien franchise alive. There were three sequels to Scott's original, but it is the first time the director has set his mind on directing one.

Re: Aliens Prequel
If everyone dies at the end...
That's the only way I can see this work out good. It would fit to the storyline and I'd like to see the aliens win for once

Re: Aliens Prequel
yeah have to keep with the no one knows of the Aliens
Sure a handful of people see them in the Alien vs Predator films, but they wouldn't have really told anyone and only the Government who would have sealed everything wouldn't say anything. So when Alien comes around there may be some vague mention in sealed records.

Re: Aliens Prequel
One thing I always wondered. Was LV-426 the Aliens home planet? I know the ship piloted by the "other" aliens crash landed on LV-426, but maybe it crash landed because there were aliens on board the ship and there is some other home planet.
