Excalibur remake
Brian Singer may be in the running to direct the BSG film but first he wants to do a remake of the 1981 Fantasy classic Excalibur. Warner Bros. has reached a deal with Brian Singer to Produce and develop the project with the likely hood of directing. No writer has been attached yet. He also has Jack the Giant Killer for New Line and is being thought about to direct X-Men: First Class for 20th Century Fox.

I do to, not sure there is a need for a remake though, The King Arthur Myth is public domain and that's what the film shows

an article I read points out that the reason for the remake is the title, the choices to name a film about Arthur are slim.
