I bought and read HP and the Deathly Hallows, but can you believe I forgot about LOTF Inferno?????? OMG. I will be getting this soon.

I remembered all thanks to a police officer--I had a little run-in with one last night...
It was all good--just saw him at a gas station while I was showing some fan art to a fellow SW fan that works there and this cop comes in. The guy behind the counter told me that officer was a fan too, so I showed the cop my artwork and he and I started talking about the SW books--he had Inferno with him in his squad car. He has read everything from the NJO on, and is now waiting on books to come out, so I told him about Karen Traviss' Republic Commando books. He was impressed with my Boba Fett artwork and we talked a little about the Mandalorians in the Legacy books. He even asked about possibly buying some artwork and suggested a type of family picture of some of the well-known Jedi characters. =D That was so cool! Well, it is usually nice to know a cop?

Re: What books you looking forward to?

i'm looking forward to, obviously, the last 3 books in the LOTF series, as well as the next installment of George R.R. Martin's A Song Of Ice & Fire series, "A Dance With Dragons"

at the moment, though, i'm reading "City of Pearl", the very first novel ever written by our favorite Mando, Karen Traviss. it's kinda difficult to describe in terms of plot, but it sorta rotates around a lost human colony on an alien world 25 light-years from Earth and the mission sent to investigate. sounds pretty cliche, i know, but it's so much more than that and i can't really discuss plot without giving anything away. it's interesting to note that her habit of starting chapers with a fictitious interview quote or philosophical writing or news report (such as the HoloNet News reports about the Mandalorian iron stuff, the quotes from old clone soldiers in a Coruscant retirement home, etc.) has been a constant throughout her writing, as evidenced by this, her debut book. it's awesome. especially this one:

The problem with the gethes, the humans, is that they cannot differentiate between people. They say the planet belongs to the bezeri, yet they know the world also belongs to rockvelvets and udzas and a thousand others: it is as if they have to establish one people who have dominance in order to make sense of life. Their language is equally confusing. Who can believe what they say if every word has several meanings?
