Sending Invoices from SAP as emails to clients
I have been asked to investigate sending of documents such as invoices and purchase orders to clients as email.
This is so as to avoid first printing it then faxing it.
In broad terms can this be done and in a summarized way how can it be done. Does one need to purchase software for instance and what software.

In what format do you want the purchase order to be sent in, does it need to be same as when you print it from SAP? or could it just be a text based email? Because one option could be to simply create a text based email via an ABAP program and send that or alternatively you could convert an SAP spool request to a PDF document and then email that, an example of how to do this can be found via the following link: http://www.sapdevelopment.co.uk/reporting/rep_spooltopdf.htm
