posticon Cheshire TLI Evening RR Series - Lower Withington

Managed a win in over 60s group (cat E) last night at Lower Withington. Three 50-59 year old whippets away and could not catch them but I won the bunch sprint after 6 laps.

Well done Brian - top man. I've still to work out how you moved to the front without me noticing you were missing. One minute by my side and the next ripping the legs off the lads on the front. How do you do that???

See you Thursday and maybe you can tell me the secret!

Tonight's race was stopped after a serious pile up at the end of lap two in our race. It couldn't have happened at a worse spot - shocking road surface, very abrasive. It stopped all the other races too.

I hope no one got seriously injured but judging by the sheer numbers involved I'd be surprised if everyone got away scot free.

Brian, Sam, I hope you missed it.

They came down just behind me so I was OK but Sam was caught up in it and suffered cuts and grazes to body and machine - could have been worse for us, but bad enough.

Glad you're OK, Brian. Sorry to hear about Sam.

If you're reading this, Sam, I'm sorry you got caught up in it. Hope your injuries heal soon. Bikes can be fixed. You were going great guns too.
