SRC Road Race - August 9th
On the 9th August Stafford Road Club will host a 2nd, 3rd, 4th Women and Junior category road race as part of the already successful West Midlands’ road race league. The circuit to be used is the well known and well rounded (not all flat, not all hilly and not too technical) Swynnerton course – covering 6 laps and therefore 66 miles all told. A humane 9:30am start will greet riders, head quartered from Cotes Heath Village Hall, with SRC looking to make the most of the 60th anniversary jubilee and provide a prize list that is fitting. If that wasn’t good enough to whet your appetite for racing then knowing the event will be scored on the Regional A banding giving points down to 15th place with 30 for the win!
Race service will be provided by club sponsor Henry Burton’s and the other key club sponsor, La Boulangerie, will be providing refreshments.

very quick race on sunday just under 25mph for the 74ish miles that it ended up as, managed to stick with the bunch till the finish even though I didnt expect to
There was a massive prize list with primes for sunglasses every lap the first after only 5mile of racing so the pace stayed high all the way around
