Open 25s 2008
Would anyone be willing to run the Spring 25 in 2008?
Paul Jennings has kindly offered to run the Autumn 25, for which many thanks, but we need someone to run the Spring 25. There is plenty of experience within the club at running events to ask for advice.
If you want the sport to survive so that you can race you need to "step up to the plate" and put something back.
If you are not prepared to organise would you be willing to commit to helping? This would considerably ease the burden on the organiser.
I'll make a start: I want to ride the events in 2008 but I'll do first man off in both events so that I can get back and do the result board AND I won't ride them in 2009 so I can at least marshal. There you go it's in writing now.

Re: Open 25s 2008
No volunteers so it looks like we will only be running one 25 next year then.
Sorry, but I've had enough of chasing around trying to persued people to do stuff.

Re: Open 25s 2008
I will be willing to organise the spring 25 time trial, however only if I could be guided and I would be able to participate in the event.
It would be sad if there is no spring 25 after losing the week night time trial, ( 10s).
I will await the decision to be made.

Re: Open 25s 2008
Thanks for the offer. You can ride and organise (but its not easy).
Me, Paul and Brian have all organised in the past so can offer advice.
We need to submit the forms by the end of the week.
I don't have a (working) e-mail address for you.
Can you contact Brian Vickers, he's TT Sec and will help with the form. Paul can also help as he has just done the one for the Autumn 2008 event.
Thanks once again.

Re: Open 25s 2008
Sorry the form needs to be in by the end of August - oh that is the end of the week isn't it.
The date is usually the third Saturday in May which makes it Saturday 17 May 2008 but it can be shifted to suit you.
