Feb 09

I know it is a long way off however we will be off on our travels again

my suggestions are for the last two weeks of Feb 09 one of the following destinations

Majorca
Mainland Spain(Murcia same place as last year)
south of France
whoever expresses an interest in attending will be invited to help decide

you will have the choice to be their 7 or 10 days however as like last year the overall cost will be split between everyone who goes

anyone interested you will need to meet the following criteria

Be able to ride 80-100 miles per day at club run speed average 16mph

Your bike to be in good repair

have access to funds for an emergency i.e broken bike

Paul Jennings has looked at flight prices for each destination roughly £100.00pp

ideally the overall cost per person will be £220.00-£250.00 this should include flights, accomodation, transfers, maps, cleaning of appartments and some money for the coffee kitty all you will need is your spending money

anyone interested will need to give me a cheque for £150.00 payable to Amanda Noons by the 7th November 2009 so that the flights and accomodation can be booked

Re: Feb 09

I will need to know exact dates so I can sort out the time off work, the sooner the better please. I think I'll just be doing the seven days but count me in.

Are we going to limit the total number of riders that can go before this gets out of hand? Say a dozen would be the absolute maximum?

I'll volunteer to run the cafe stop fund, just in case anyone doesn't know, we all put in 20 euros each on day one. One person holds the money then when we stop in the morning for coffee it comes from the fund. If we are all having lunches of roughly the same value we pay for that from the same pot of money. I order using my fantastic language skills and you get whatever the kitchen sends out! If anyone else wants to volunteer then that's fine with me...

I'm fine with any of those venues but I think if we have a larger group of riders we will need more food choices, we will never get a dozen people to agree on what they want for dinner each night so plenty of choice and within walking distance would appear to be the order of the day.
