Good Cans
...
No, sorry to disappoint you but I'm talking about headphones.
So what kind of headphones do people use around here? I use the Sony MDR-V6 when I'm listening to music at home and I have Sony EX51 earbuds that I use with my iPod. I've been thinking about getting a Grado SR-60, since they're so highly recommended, but damn they sure are some ugly headphones.

Re: Good Cans
Good quality head phones are a must in my opinion. Right now I have some radio shack brand head phones with a loooooooong ass cord that keeps getting stuck under my chair. I needed a long cord because my computer tower is on the floor and the regular length of most headphone cords just won't reach my ears. The sound quality on them is pretty good all though not the best. I really like Philips or Sony head phones as far as inexpensive ones go. I swear to God I will never buy a cheap, generic brand again. You have to spend at least 10 bucks if you want decent ones all though they can cost a lot more than that if you want real high quality.

Re: Good Cans
I have sony MDR-EX(something)'s, which are the in-ear kind, and standard iPod headphones. I've ruined them both by blasting them too loud, so i usually use my computer's speakers whenever I'm at home. I usually use my ipod headphones since they let other noise in and i can talk to people (sometimes good, sometimes bad). I really want some Bose Triports, although i have been thinking about getting the cheapest Shure in-ears to replace my sonys.

Re: Good Cans
I use Philips HP170 full sized headphones for listening at home. They sound pretty good considering that I only spent about $20 on them. For on the go I use the more conveniently sized ear buds that came with my iPod. I usually don't like ear buds, but these sound surprisingly good.
