BUMP OF CHICKEN
I really had been meaning to check out this band for like a year, but it wasn't until I bought FLAME VEIN recently that I really began to notice just how awesome BUMP OF CHICKEN is. Then I downloaded jupiter and was completely blown away. I definitely recommend that anyone who liked their Hybrid Rainbow cover check them out.

Re: BUMP OF CHICKEN
I STILL haven't checked these guys out (other than the Hybrid Rainbow cover) but have been meaning to for a long time. Their name is just so weird, it grabs your attention and makes you say "who...what?" but I have heard they are good.

Heh, that's actually exactly how I first heard of them. My friend sent me a song (Diamond I think) and said something like "Hey, I just found the weirdest band name I've ever heard."

Re: BUMP OF CHICKEN
*Whoa... You mean I can actually discuss BUMP OF CHICKEN without being flamed to death? I already <3 this forum.*
BUMP is definitely one of my favourite bands ever.
There is a chemistry between them that is unmatched by any other band today. Did you know that they wrote most of FLAME VEIN when they were only 17 years old? Now tell me that that isn't freakin' incredible.
Be sure to check out their latest album, YGGDRASIL,
I have been debating with myself over which album I prefer; jupiter or YGGDRASIL... I just can't choose.
They both never get old to me (nor do FLAME VEIN and LIVING DEAD, but I just think that jupiter and YGGDRASIL are more complete works).
Motoo's voice is awesome, too.

Re: BUMP OF CHICKEN
A bit off topic: You can talk about what ever bands you want with out getting flamed.
You might get a little s*hit saying something like OMG I love Linkin Park or Blink 182 but a flame, no.
Flaming is against the rules all though there have been times that I did flame someone, but they kind of deserved it and were banned on the spot. Trust me, it wasn't because they liked something that "the cool kids" don't.
Anyway, I'm trying to get my SLSK going again so I can check Bump of Chicken out.

Wow, YGGDRASIL is that good, huh? I'll have to remember to get the rest of that album.

Well, amen to that.

YGGDRASIL definitely has some great tracks. I personally love GUILD, Sharin no Uta, sailing day (which seems to be everyones favourite), Snow Smile, Remu, and Lostman the most, but there really isn't a single dud in the mix (or in BUMP's entire discography).
Be sure to check out their b-sides, too; especially HOLIDAY, LAUGH-MAKER, Kanojo to Hoshi to Itsu, and Bye bye thank you.
Those are some of my favourite BUMP songs but they can be overlooked since they aren't included on any albums.
I'd offer what I have of BUMP but slsk hasn't worked for me ever since the version 155-222 upgrade. =_=
My half-hearted attempts to fix it are futile.
It would be nice to get in workin' again, though... Maybe I'll try looking into it some more.
