Gr'Vall 50130.17

Lt. Gr’Vall was standing by the engineering station on the bridge wondering where to begin. The Galieo is heading to New Bajor after the ambush they had managed to survive. Scratching his left antennae, he scowled at his console for a couple more minutes before actually typing.

Computer: Stardate 50130.17; Duty log for Lieutenant Cerron Gr’Vall, Chief Engineer of the USS Galieo.

Events have flown past us. After helping to fend off Jem H’dar ships attacking Deep Space 9, we have found ourselves on the other side of the wormhole ostensibly to determine the status of New Bajor. But, once we had exited into the gamma quadrant we were ambushed by more ships claiming to be from some new dominion faction.

Engineering is going over the shield generators and the SIF systems. Although the Galieo took a pounding most of the damage appears to have been minor. So far so good, we’ll see after we have a closer look.

Lt. Gr’Vall files the duty log then opens a personal one. Noticing that New Bajor is getting close he makes it short.

Computer: Open personal log for Lt. Cerron Gr’Vall.

I haven’t had much time to settle into my new assignment as of yet. I’m fairly familiar with the engineering department and am just getting comfortable with most of the other officers. However, it is wonderful being in charge of my own department, especially engineering. Things have been moving pretty quick here, I haven’t even had time to let my folks or siblings know of my promotion.

Cerron shrugs and finished typing with a flourishing flick of his fingers.

No big deal, I’ll let all know here soon.

Commander Miller - duty log

Commander Jenna Miller sighed and rubbed her temple as she sunk into the depths of the command chair. She silently wished for Captain Daniels to return to his post, so she could go on lurking in the depths of the science department and keep to herself just as she always had done. After the away team got called to the Jem Hadar space station, she had been on duty on the bridge and ended up getting called to command the bridge. Not something she'd jump to do, yet it was an interesting experience to say the least.

As she relaxed in the Big Chair, she hit the arm console and began recording her log...

"Bridge log for stardate 50112, Commander Jenna Miller in Command.

Our initial run of the Galileo's maiden voyage to DS9 went uneventful at first, however, as we approached DS9 some Jem Hadar warships emerged from the Bajoran wormhole, launching an attack on DS9. This came off as both a surprise and yet disturbing at the same time, mainly because of the treaty between the Dominion and the Federation after the war. With not much time to think about that, we quickly came to DS9's aid and engaged the Jem Hadar, destroying some of them and driving the rest back into the wormhole.

Once we finally arrived at DS9, we met up with Admiral Watson, who briefed us on some strange goings on with the Jem Hadar. Reports from new Bajor had claimed that they were bringing in strange technologies, weapons and devices into their space. Something very unusual for them since they had been thought to be somewhat "dormant". She then immediately sent us on a mission to find out what was going on. We left for Jem Hadar space through the Bajoran wormhole.

As we emerged, we were met with another array of warships the moment we left the vortex. While we were vastly outnumbered, Bajoran Commander N'Cheyenne Moor and her fleet from new Bajor arrived to help us and drive off our attackers. We then met briefly on New Bajor and discussed our next plan of action. N'Cheyenne and her fleet came with us to Jem Hadar space to aid int our mission.

As we approached their space, we were met again with force. This time, we got a good look at what had been happening. A Jem Hadar ship created a wormhole from one of their vessels and entered it. Where it was going we had no idea but we had to follow it. As we set off, another wormhole opened up right behind us and we were attacked by a rather large fleet. Our only way to escape was through the wormhole behind us. The Bajoran fleet was destroyed, but not before we managed to save most of their crews. N'Cheyenne included.

The Galileo made it through the wormhole, destroying several of the Jem Hadar in collapsing the wormhole. Once on the other side, we quickly discovered that we were 75,000 ly from the Alpha Quadrant and facing a rather large, once abandoned space station that appeared to be housing the Jem Hadar's secret operation. It was then we decided to go undercover and get on board. To find out more and hopefully destroy the station. The away team consisting of Captain Daniels, Helmsman Elo, Tactical Officer Traynor, N'Cheyenne Moor and a security team left in a modified shuttle to find their way onto the station. They weren't inside the station long when their activity became suspicious and they were captured.

Thier interrogator turned out to be none other than a Founder by the name of Adyne, however Starfleet (and the Galileo crew) would know her as Admiral Watson. Watson was leaking information to the Jem Hadar and was the leader of a group called the "New Dominion Revolt", an underground faction set on finishing what the Dominion had started. They were secretly biding thier time with the founders and creating artifical vortexes in which they could set out to the furthest regions of the universe, namely this sector in the Delta Quadrant. Here they would build thier station, gain allies and become powerful enough to return and conquer the Federation and all that it stood for. They had even already gained the alliance of a savage race called the Kazon.

Somehow amidst the inner workings of the Jem Hadar station, the away team escaped and set off the station's self destruct. They quickly made thier escape in a shuttle, but not without casualties. Several of the security team were lost as well as N'Cheyenne Moor, who later died from her injuries here in Galileo's sickbay. Also, with the destruction of the station came the destructing of our only way home. And unless we run into any more Jem Hadar ships, it doesn't look like we are going back to the Alpha Quadrant the same way we came. We just may have to take the long way home.....

Jenna closed her log, the weight of the last words she had spoken suddenly hit home. If they couldn't find a way back to the Alpha Quadrant soon, she would be away from her family and her friends for a very long time. Her first thought went to her closest friend and twin sister, Jolene. Like her, Jolene was also very active in Starfleet. Once Admiral and sector commander for Starbase 366, she now taught at Starfleet Academy. Though they had very different personalities, they were still very close and spent as much time as they could together. Jenna got up from her chair and began to stroll around the bridge, deep in thought.

Unless they got back soon, she would very much miss their regular games of Velocity.....

Lt. Gaima Elo - Personal Log

It was far from his first time at the helm, and he quickly made that clear. Gaima Elo was ready to take on the galaxy. Being promoted to Full Lieutenant not long ago had given him a renewed curiosity and a need for adventure.

The USS Galileo was a prime ship, and he had great expectations from her. Those expectations were put to the test when they arrived at DS9. Jem Hadar ships had emerged from the wormhole and began attacking the station. Though Gaima was merely following the Captain's orders, he felt that he, personally, had contributed in defending the station. The Jem Hadar had retreated back through the wormhole, but not before taking on losses.

Gaima was invited to Operations to look over the star charts that DS9 had at their disposal. He had always enjoyed charts and dreamed of creating star charts while exploring vast unknown stretched of space. It was the explorer in him. The explorer that he may never come to know, depending on the missions the Galileo was handed.

During a brief break in the viewing of star charts, he managed to take a few minutes to add to his personal journal. He accessed his PADD to record his message.

"Personal Log. Lt. Gaima Elo, USS Galileo. Stardate 50112.09

I have met the enemy and have seen them run for their lives. Though I'd like to believe that to be true, I know from history that could be far from the truth. I won't get into a history lesson right now, though.

The Galileo is a fine ship and handles like a dream. The crew is more than pleasant, which makes me wonder how they will treat hostilities greater than the Jem Hadar raid on DS9. I'm sure they will do better than anyone might expect.

I've had the pleasure of being invited to look over the star charts at DS9 and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed. I know that stations can amass great wealth of knowledge from the ships that pass by, but I have never seen the type of exotic charts DS9 holds. It is amazing!

I don't have much time here, so I have to keep this short. I'll add more later, when I get the chance. Now back to these charts.

End Personal Log."

Gaima looked around and smiled. He was very happy to be there, and wasn't afraid to show it. However, his smile would fade, when the Captain ordered everyone to meet with him. He knew that meant his time on DS9 would be ending soon.

As he closed out the last star chart, he took one more look around. Though he had only been there a few hours, he knew he would come to miss this place.
