Soren & Arani Pre-001 Journal
After a hard day of work repairing Arani's ship, she and Soren are lying on the grass near their ships, looking up at the moon.
Arani slides a little closer to Soren, turning on her side to look at him again.
Soren continues to look up at the stars, glancing sideways at her as she slides closer.
Arani grins and lays her hand on the side of his face, turning his head toward her and smiling at him.
Soren shifts his skin color to red again with a grin. "Yes?"
Arani laughs and kisses him gently.
Soren grins and rolls over her, kissing her deeply.
Arani giggles and returns his kiss. "Fringe benefits huh?"
Soren smirks. "You'd be surprised how generous rescued women can be to a handsome Falleen rescuer." He grins.
Arani laughs. "Considering my home world, very little would surprise me."
Soren laughs. "I'll buy that." He kisses her again.
Some time later, Soren lies back and look up at the stars again. "This is a good day." He grins.
Arani smiles. "It certainly is."
Soren grins again. "So is it also true what they say about Zeltron stamina?"
Arani laughs. "What do they say?"
Soren shrugs. "Various things, week long parties, ect."
Arani answers, "Ahh... Yes... My homeworld is like that..."
Soren grins. "I should make a point to visit there some day."
Arani shrugs, not really wanting to talk about her home, but then sighs, deciding she ought to answer him with something anyway... "You would have fun there..."
Soren turns to face her. "I have fun everywhere. He smiles.
Arani nods, looking up at the stars and almost wishing she could see Zeltron from here.
Soren looks up again as well. "So how did you wind up out here anyway?"
Arani sighs. "I wasn't a very well-behaved child... Some of the things I did were against the strictest laws of my people... They sent me away." She shrugs.
Soren raises an eyebrow. "Really? I'm having trouble guessing what would be taboo on a planet like Zeltron."
Arani laughs. "There is only one thing... Using our pheremones to promote negative feelings rather than positive."
Soren shrugs. "That all? I've done something similar before with mine." He shrugs again. "No big deal."
Arani sighs. "On my world, it is a very big deal... And my friends and I did not stop when we were warned... The elders had had more than enough of me."
Soren shrugs. "All leaders are like that. Stuffy old geezers with no sense of humor or fun." He grins.
Arani laughs. "I suppose... Anyway, I have been all over since... For the last two years my only home has been the Phoenix."
Soren nods. "Ditto for me with the Lasiter over there." He points to his fighter.
Arani smiles. "Lucky for you she's in better shape than the Phoenix." She sighs. "On my own I just can not make enough money to keep her in repair."
Soren nods. "It's tough out there."
Arani says, "That's why I was coming here. I hoped to join up with a group and do a little better."
Soren nods again. "I worked for a company on that planet back there, Pinnacle Inc."
Arani laughs. "Small world. That's where I was headed. I heard they usually needed people."
Soren nods. "They really need people now." He almost laughs.
Arani nods. "If they still exist..."
Soren nods. "I'm not going to bother going back."
Arani sighs. "I suppose there is no point really, but now I have no other plans."
Soren shrugs. "Need to get that ship of your's fixed up first of all."
Arani nods. "Without money."
Soren shrugs again. "I've got a bit."
Arani frowns. "You have helped me enough already... I can never repay you as it is. Like I said, alone I barely manage to feed myself."
Soren smiles. "It's no trouble. Really."
Arani sighs. "I don't know... I'm not used to taking from people."
Soren shrugs. "Your choice."
Arani rolls back over and kisses him. "At least until I get back on my feet and get some more repairs done I don't think I have much choice. Though I must admit the idea of sticking with you isn't so bad..." She grins.
Soren grins back at her. "Not from where I'm lying." He raises an eyebrow as he grins. "Ready for round two?"
Arani smiles. "Ready when you are..."
Soren wraps his arms around her and flips them both over, burying his face in the side of her neck.
Soren and Arani pass a pleasant night, finally falling asleep under the stars. A few hours past daybreak they wake up in each other's arms.
Arani smiles and stretches in the soft grass.
Soren watches her stretch, smiling. "Morning."
Arani rolls over on her side and looks over at him. "Morning. Get enough sleep?"
Soren nods. "Sure did. You?"
Arani smiles again and nods. "I did. Though it's a wonder."
Soren laughs. "I must say, the rumors about the Zeltron appear to be accurate.: He grins and kisses her.
Arani grins and kisses him back. "As do the rumors about the Falleen."
Soren smirks. "It seems we are a perfect match then." He looks up. "I wonder if the battle is over."
Arani looks up into the sky as well. "Very likely. It didn't seem like our side had much chance."
Soren shrugs. "I didn't have a side in that battle."
Arani laughs. "Come to think of it neither did I, except of course that I had wished to find work if Pinnacle survived."
Soren nods. "I wouldn't hold out much hope that Pinnacle survived." He gets an idea. "I have an idea." He smiles. "If you'd like a suggestion."
Arani raises an eyebrow. "I'm always open to suggestions. Especially when my options are so limited."
Soren nods and rolls over on top of her, holding himself up with his arms as he smiles down at her. "What do you say we travel around looking for work together?"
Arani smiles and lifts her head up to kiss him. "Since we get along so well you mean?"
Soren nods. "Of course. Plus I'm sure we can come up with interesting ways to pass the time in hyperspace." He grins.
Arani looks over at his fighter. "You'd leave your ship behind? We could each fly our own you know... Less fun in hyperspace, but then we'd both still have them."
Soren shrugs. "They're both pretty beat up." He gets another idea, grinning. "How about this? Why don't we take them both to the nearest full spaceport, sell them both, and get us something better for us to travel in."
Arani smiles. "Well there's a thought. Though it's a thought that might have us both stuck together by virtue of a shared ship for a long time. Sure you can handle that?" She winks and grins.
Soren laughs and runs a finger from her nose to her navel. "Positive. "
Arani giggles and squirms, pushing at him. "Hey! That tickles."
Soren laughs and does it again.
Arani laughs. "Is this your way of convincing me?"
Soren grins and shakes his head. "No, that's just for fun. This is my way of convincing you." He leans down and kisses her.
Arani kisses him back, then smiles. "Well that works better. I think it's a great idea."
Soren smiles. "Perfect, then should we get going?" He grins. "Or give the enemy a little more time to move away from the area?"
Arani frowns. "Or more time to find us. They seemed quite bent on annihilation. I think we ought to get moving."
Soren sighs and nods, rolling off of her and standing, offering her a hand up. "I suppose that makes sense."
Arani takes his hand and stands up. "Well let's hope the Phoenix can make it far enough to be sold." She laughs.
Soren shrugs. "We could always stuff outselves into my fighter if you'd rather not risk it." He grins. "You could sit on my lap."
Arani grins. "As fun as that sounds, the Phoenix will get us at least some extra money. We may need it. I can get her where we're going."
Soren nods. "As you wish captain." He grins.
Arani kisses him and turns to head for her ship, then stops and turns back. "Oh yeah... where are we going?"
Soren thinks. "I may know of a place, I'll send you the coordinates once we get into space." He pauses. "Oh, we may want to redress before taking off." He looks her over, grinning.
Arani grins. "Awww... but why?" She grabs her clothes and walks off to the Phoenix, swinging her bottom with each step.
Soren tilts his head, watching her, finding himself subconsciously following her into her ship without realizing it.
Arani laughs as she hears him follow her on board. "You may want to go fly your own ship. We'll be sharing one soon enough."
Soren looks up and around, laughing and shaking his head. "That's a powerful backside you have there. Better than the Force for clouding the mind." He laughs.
Arani grins. "Maybe, though it's not my only weapon." She slips her clothes on to uncloud his mind.
Soren grins. "That it isn't." He turns to leave her ship, heading over to collect his own clothes from the grass.
Arani laughs and shakes her head as she watches him walk away, then heads for the c0ckpit and starts up her ship.
Soren gets dressed and climbs into his fighter, starting it up.
Arani flips on her comm and radios over, "Ready when you are."
Soren replies, "Ready, sending you the coordinates for a spaceport a short ways from here." He powers up the engines and starts to take off.
Arani takes off as well, programming his coordinates into her nav computer. "Right behind you."
Soren increases his speed and powers up his weapons, ready to fly escort for Arani's ship in case there are any other enemies nearby.
The pair takes off and leaves the moon far behind, following Soren's coordinates to a somewhat well put together space station a few lightyears away, stopping there only long enough to sell their ships and buy a nice used one for the two of them, ending up with a highly modified Lambda class shuttle. And, after spending a couple interesting nights there, finally started their search for work, which took them to Corellia...

Episode 001- Journal for Olivia Brahn
Olivia carefully plotted the course for the Maverick and set off into space on their journey to Coruscant. Part of her was glad to be heading there. It was her home after all. Granted, she hadn't been home in 4 years and the chances of them setting down in the same area as she lived were slim, but it would still be nice to set foot on the same planet.
As she fiddled with the controls and made a few other modifications to make their journey as quick and easy as possible, she was careful not to do anything that she knew would get herself in trouble. Not like last time anyway. Tam still hadn't told her what exactly she had done to make the ship fake a meltdown like that. It was habit for her to fiddle with things she was curious about and she liked to take the chance to get to know her ship's systems a little better. Whatever buttons she had hit, she'd be sure not to do it again.
Despite that, Maverick was a pleasure to fly. Driving such a different ship made her feel exhilarated, especially now that Tam trusted her now with his ship. He seemed so protective over it the first time she'd met him. She had honestly doubted he'd even look at her for the job the way he practically flogged her when she got too close. Still, it had been her luck that he took her on and for that she was glad. All she needed was someone to give her a chance and she knew she'd prove herself easily. She smiled.
"If only Dad could see me now," she thought. Her father loved old ships. She remembered helping him tinker with his fighter more than once. It was what got Olivia interested in ships in the first place. She hoped she'd get a chance to see her family once she got to Coruscant.
Shifting a little in her seat once the ship was well under way, she leaned back in her seat and fixed her top a little. She glanced down at the new tightly fitting leather top she was wearing and with a quick glance around, she adjusted the small amount of exposed flesh in the front near the neckline. She half expected Soren to be popping up to see her. He seemed to like to sit with her in the c0ckpit and chat while she piloted the vessel. At least he did during the last few times she had to fly. She bought a new outfit today and if anyone would notice, he would. She didn't dare admit that she bought the snug outfit to impress him (not that he needed it), but it did look nice and she had been wanting some new clothes for a while now.
Soren had a way of bringing out a giddy girliness about her when he was around. Though she was getting used to his compliments now, there were still times when he'd say something that really took her by surprise and would make her blush. She felt foolish for doing so, but she couldn't help it. She wasn't used to such flattery. No guy she'd ever gone out with talked to her like that. This was both confusing and flattering at the same time. Deep down Olivia did enjoy it immensely and found that her pulse did race when he was around and her heart did little flip flops when he looked in her eyed. She wondered if it would ever go any further that just the sweet talk. Taking a deep breath, she felt a rush of butterflies and her heart skip a beat at the very thought.
A small bleep on the console brought Olivia sharply back to reality. Carefully checking the monitors, she realized it was just a normal alert from the computer and that everything was fine. Taking a deep breath, she decided she should either head back to her quarters or push her personal feelings aside and watch what she was doing.
For now, she decided on the latter. Tam would kill her if she fooled up the controls again...
