What's with the Karma?

Note I said Karma.... NOT Karmen... emoticon

I noticed that beside my name it says karma 2 (+2/-0) ...

What does that mean?

It's sort of a rating system... if someone likes what you post, they can add karma to you, if they don't like what you post, they can take it away... or something like that.

if you look below the post of that person, you see "applaud" and "Smite"

applaud adds
smite subtracts

anyone can do it, as far as I know.
