New Website vs. Current Website
Just to let everyone know, the current SWEF website ( http://swef.net ) is not up to date according with our recent changes. Please do not worry about this. You can get to this SWEF messageboard at http://mb.swef.net . Most information on the website is correct, with the exception of the name and some links.
The reason behind this is simple, but complex at the same time.
Simple part is that the password needed to edit the website is no longer working.
The complex part is why it isn't working.
We are using a forwarding service, which means SWEF.NET is pointed to a Tripod website, which is as old as SWEF is, with some updates here and there over the years.
Tripod had upgraded their servers, which messed up the admin information to the website.
A new website will be created eventually, but this will take time. I only ask everyone to be patient until the new website is up and running.

New Website vs. Current Website
I now have access, once again, to make updates to our website.
I had to jump through a few hoops and make a few threats to get access again, but it worked.
I am accepting any and all website update submissions (suggestions or actual updates or otherwise).
Updates will occur once a week. I will collect all updates and make changes accordingly.
A new website will still be constructed. I am still planning on having a better website for us soon. I have a host and am also going to be working on the new site, when time permits. So far, there is nothing up for a new site as of yet.

What I see when I open the web page is a list of all the games that are being offered under SWEF which is fine. A problem I do see is that there isn't anything to tell me that the games are "Star Wars" based, "Stargate" based, etc. at least until I read the descriptions. It's like a jumble to me at first glance. If I was someone reading it, it would turn me off. But that's me personally...
My suggestion is this. Why not have the games in a list where the names would be a link to take you to another page. Here the different games would be then described in detail, or better yet, take you to the specified page for that game.
For example, the list would look something like this:
Star Wars: An RPG based on this saga, we have two games Jedi Missions, Mercenary Forces. Join up and take your pick.
Stargate: same thing Etc...
7th Sea: same thing Etc...
Rogue's Galaxy: same thing Etc...
Did all this make sense? Or am I being inarticulate again?

So, let me see if I understood...
You want a list divided into the type of genre the games fit under, with links to game pages from that list. No descriptions at all?
Not a bad idea, but the descriptions give people an idea of what the games are about. The front page of the site is the best place for the decriptions because it will grab their interest. Seeing a list won't interest anyone. At least that's how I see it. The original SWEF site was built this way.
However, I could make a few changes to the front page to make it read better.
See? I do listen to everyone's comments and suggestions.

Of course the descriptions could be streamlined down a bit, and the pages you are referring to could have a more full description.
For Ron & Robert's games, I won't have a separate page with a description, since their websites have a full description and much more information. I won't duplicate what they already have. Therefore, I would link their websites to a "splash page" designed just for them.
As for the other games, I will provide pages for those.
Is that acceptable, Ms. Lane?

New Website vs. Current Website
What I REALLY want to do with the website is to have it animated and interactive.
Click on a link and the page transforms to the page the link is intended for. Maybe add a little motion to things on each page.
That of course takes time and programs I don't have at this moment. Until I get those two things, I'll just be doing minor changes here and there.
Eventually the website will be completely different. Maybe I'm the only one concerned by this right now, but it does bother me that I've been wanting to advance the website much further than I have over the past six years. Patience though. That's what I keep telling myself.

Well, I don't know much about designing websites, but I do know a bit of HTML. I might have said it before, but I'm willing to help if you want.
If you can give me an example of what you mean by "interactive" then that would be great... by that I mean if you see another page on the internet that's similar to what you want...
I do have a Corel Draw program that can create little animated things... maybe that will help?
