How many watched the SuperBowl and expected different from what they saw?
The game itself was excellent. Close down to the last few minutes. I liked that the most about it.
Usually the commercials are what steals the show though. This year, there were very few that even made me chuckle. From what I read, most of the really good ones were pulled from airing because they may have been attacked by the FCC, which is possibly true. Unfortunate as it is.
The halftime show is another thing that pulls people in. Though I like Paul McCartney, I didn't like the show so much. Very lack luster and unexciting.
Also, as my brother-in-law pointed out, this is an American game/sport, so why have a foreign entertainer perform at it? My opinion is that doesn't matter to me so much. Normally they have several entertainers perform, but this time, only one. The music was good, but the show was a dud.
Just my opinion.

The game was great.. as it was last year.
The commericals were great. So that didnt change.
As for the halftime show. I know that the only people that stay and watch that are the casual viewer. I know that me and my friends usually use that time to make a beer run or food. Also..the reason why you cant really say that McCartney is a foriegn performer is because he is a musical icon all around the world. So usually when people obtain that status, nationalities usually are forgotten about.

Personally, I don't bother with any of it. NFL football doesn't excite me (Blood Bowl tabletop fantasy football, on the other hand...), and commercials and a halftime show don't seem like enough reason to turn the set on, especially after last year's nonsense. As an aside, at least with Paul McCartney you can pretty well guarantee that no one's gonna be trying to rip his clothes off.
Now, if someone ever develops the technology to play Spherix (::nudges Rick: , I will be so utterly there...

I agree with ya Ray. I was just saying what my brother-in-law mentioned about the half-time show. I would have liked to see more performers is all.
I'm a big NFL fan... well not as big as most, but I enjoy the sport enough to watch it when I get a chance.
Last years fiasco was overblown, but I do agree that it was a huge mistake on the performer's part to go through with it.

Yeah you could definitely tell they were trying to protect from what happened at last years Super Bowl, which I feel totally took away from this years. The game itself was good even though once again there was no one I really cheer for in the game

Connections
I'm starting to get a bit upset at my intermittent loss of connection lately. I never know when it will happen and what is really causing it.
My guess is that one of these days, I'll have to reset my cable modem, which has been on for quite some time now. Maybe that will help out a bit. Hard to say. It could screw things up even worse.

On another note, I have several projects going on right now.
First, I am planning and gathering supplies to modify my old computer case to install some much needed fans and make an access door with a window in it.
Most of the supplies I can find. The plexiglass for the window is the hard part. I figured I could get it at a hardware store, or a Home Depot type store. WRONG! My next thought was to go to a place that make and sell plastics of many varieties, but they seem to be closed when I am free. Then I had an idea. I could buy the right size of picture frame and just use the plastic/glass from that. But I don't know if that's what I really want to do yet.
Second, I have going is learning to use my new WACOM tablet and pen. So far I think I have picked up on it, and painted a few small pictures. Nothing fancy or good enough for a gallery, but I like it. It's fun.
Now to get it to work for whatever graphics I need for the new website (the biggest project I have plans for).

Oh, and if anyone has any ideas or pointers for me on any of the above, feel free to post them here (I know Aris has some art experience with tablets and such). Thanks!

I'm afraid I wouldn't be much help in the art area, but if it's one thing I know it's computers. There could be a simple, easy way to add that window to your pc case. There is a pc product called a PC Mod Kit. I'd have to check and see who makes it, I haven't looked at it in a few months, but it comes with a case cutter, plexiglass window, rubber strip to cover the cut edges, and even a light to put inside. I believe it also comes with some round floppy and harddrive cables, which take up less space than the normal ones and promote air flow inside the case.
