Creation - Work in Progress
Some of you may know this, but Ghosts of the Reliance is a sequel to Venture Force, an old expedition game that takes place in uncharted Wild Space.
The sequel takes place twenty years later. The New Republic has been given the task of finding what is left of the Reliance II and recover any data that may still be on the ship. Once they accomplish that, they are to simply return home. However, nothing is ever simple in the Star Wars galaxy.
To accomplish this task, they have collected a small fleet. In this fleet is a medical frigate, two battle cruisers, a two transport ships and four large heavy freighters. Added to the mix are four corvettes, ten gunboats and one very large carrier ship that holds nearly ten fighter squadrons of varying types. In total, there are twenty-four ships, not counting the fighter squadrons.
This may seem like overkill for such a task, but due to old reports sent by the Reliance II crew, it was deemed necessary.
On the trip will be a group of assigned Jedi to oversee the recovery of the data and secure its safe return back home.

Creation - Work in Progress
I am gathering information from the old game, and found that there are 60 transcripts to read through. As of this post, I am on transcript #27, so nearly half-way through. There are numerous logs that give more detail to some of the information I find in the transcripts, so I will be going through those, as well.
With that said, it will be a month or two before this new game will be ready.
Character creation is usually quick for me, but others may need those couple months to get their characters polished up before playtime. I hope they take advantage of the time. You know who you are.

Update
OK, I read through every Venture Force transcript and went through the logs from the characters. It was a lengthy process, but worth it.
Now it's time to do character profiles. It should be interesting.

Only a couple weeks away. I still have a lot to do, but it's going to be fun.
I'm just working out the details for the fleet and key characters. The rest we will work out when the time comes.
