The Trip
Ok so on Sunday I went to this enormous national park to hang out with some of the guys from work amongst nature whilst on acid.
This is pretty much how it went, oneday soon I will get the notebook I wrote this stuff in and give it word for word but....
7.02 am - I just took my tab, and we left my house to drive to the park
7.17 am - No real visual stuff, but oh my god could I rant on irrelevant tangents some more....
7.20 am - Where are the ******* visuals! Oh wait, I just stomped out a cigarette and noticed how incredibly firm the ground was under my feet, it felt nice that the planet was so supportive.
8.00 am - Ben just took his, I keep smirking about irrelevant stuff, there is a random asian family looking all cheerful and having a picnic, I feel bad for ruining it with my drug crazed ravings.
8.15 am - The trees bark is shifting, its a standard australian tree all brown and grey, but it has a hint of purple in it... I shouldnt have mentioned that cos now Ben is taunting me for seeing purple trees
8.20 am - We just discussed how Ben would have sex with ugly girls so long as they were wearing suitable head wear, i.e masks or paper bags... this continued on into my theorizing that if that were possible would he have sex with any unattractive thing if properly disguised? I vowed to make a hippopotamus seductive enough that Ben would have sex with it.
8.21 am - There is definite lunacy in the world, we are sitting on a picnic table and I feel like if I let go of it I am going to fall off it, roll down the hill, through the fence, over the cliff and plunge into the lagoon below.
9.00 am - Still not much in the way of visual stuff, but if I look at anything more than a few seconds it moves, i am feeling things more than seeing them on this particular tab, its strange its more like an INCREDIBLY good pill.
9.30 am - Childlike innocence again, why does this always happen when i take acid, last time it was a kid wearing a superman outfit running around looking like a depiction of childlike wonder.... this time it was a little girl in a bright pink dress carrying her bucket and shovel to go to the beach.... GAH!
9.40 am - I feel really good, im smiling heaps, and the whole world is perfect.
10.00 am - Friends from work finally arrived so we walked down the path to the beach, by path I mean treacherous ravine of rocks roughly hacked into some form of followable trail... got to the beach and chilled out.
10.20 am - Had a bong with Damian, oh my god that kicked everything in pretty sharply.
10.30 am - Everything is becoming too much, if I look I get a lot of visual stuff now, if I close my eyes and lie really still its a full sensory deal.
Bright colors flow past my eyes, and everytime I hear a sound or feel things moving near me it causes a wave across my vision, its too hot....
10.40 am - That all got too much, so I got up, put on my ipod and walked through the lagoon, its tidal so the tide was coming up from my right and my feet were causing splash to the front, it made an amazing criss-cross of glowing blue plasma basically... but I still feel incredibly in tune with the universe while blaring Marilyn Manson - I Dont Like The Drugs...
10.45 am - Made it to the proper beach, here I lay with my feet almost touching the water as it came up, once in awhile it would splash my toes which caused nice ripples of shock through my whole body, listened to a lot more dancey style music here like The Chemical Brothers - The Test (which is the single most amazing experience of my life)
11.30 am - Went back to make sure Ben was ok, he was asleep with his hat over his head, so I went back to the beach.
2.00 pm - Its slowing down now, its still there, if I take a deep breath and let it come its still there... but I can recognise if people are attractive or not again now, it was disturbing me earlier....
4.30 pm - We left and went home.... amazing day....

Re: The Trip
There's a big huge gap in between 2:oo and 4:3o. Beating up old ladies I presume? Or did you pass out like Ben?
I can't wait to be in a hallucinagenic state of mind. But I can't do it nearly as much as you do, I'd go nuts.

Re: The Trip
No the big ass gap was spent entirely lost in the music and the water.... which is why today I am bright red everywhere the sun touched.
I was also starin at breasts, but being incredibly disturbed by my complete lack of ability to tell if they were actually good breasts or not... it made me want to cry....

Re: The Trip
LOL. I love manson, but I don't think i could bare listening to it while on LSD. I'm more of a shpongle/tool/the doors/the beatles kinda guy when I trip.
Sounds like you had alot of fun. I hope to obtain nice little squares of pleasure when I venture home with Amanda, to my hometown, Paducah, KY.

You know, you'd think in a society where being the largest, strongest, or fastest doesn't mean anything; you wouldn't do things that would destroy the one tool you have that seperates you from the rest of the primates.

Re: The Trip
Destroy? I disagree. LSD is derived for a natural mold caled Ergot, that grows on wheat. In fact, I believe that the reason that we are this smart and evolved was due largely to psychadelic drugs found in nature, like Psilocybin or Amanita Mescaria, or peote.
Do you think in moderation these things can't be used to improve our intelligence? I know that the use of that drug has allowed me to see reality in a different light. I know that when under the influence of LSD, I've actually figured out how to do things I was never taught. For example, before I had even read anything on superstring theory, I envisioned the physical makeup of an atom from atom to proton/electron/nucleus, to strings of energy, to quarks. Of course, I didn't call it quarks. I'm sure the worlds I used were mostly things like "little bitty energy things".
I totally respect your views on anything you feel, but I will definately say, that used in moderation, LSD does not destroy the brain.

Re: The Trip
Yeah I have had some pretty amazing experiences on LSD, its a very thought provoking chemical, its not actually even technically considered a 'drug'
The way it works is by re-routing your neural pathways temporarily right? And memories are formed by hardening those pathways...
The only way you destroy your brain with acid is to take it so often that your brain considers it the way it SHOULD operate and hardens those pathways into their modified configuration, thus causing flashbacks or the feeling of permanently being on acid.
OR by being so unstable to begin with that the universe being too far different to what you are used to causes you to go insane... but thats very rare and usually involves someone who is already fairly dislocated taking a LOT of acid.

Re: The Trip
The last time was April 9th, 2001.
This time it was this hard plastic thing called 'gel' but it doesn't really turn to gel til you keep it in your mouth a long time. The saliva absorbs it and it doesn't feel so much like a contact lense in your mouth anymore.
I'll tell you after I stop tweaking.
