Re: Prince

Prince performed at the Superbowl thing last night, and I didn't know until it was happening. We dont have tv, so I had to wait for it to stream onto the net...

here's his show linky to youtube

It was a medly of his popular songs, The first one he really jams out on the guitar, and some dumbass stuck the fog machine right under him so he was in a poof of cloud the whole time. I couldn't adore his funny Mammy kerchief with all that smoke! 2nd some comes around and a full marching band fills the field and you get to see some of his signature dance moves with his notorious dancing stage girls. The picture starts getting crappy in song #3, I guess because it was raining or something, but the music is phenominal. 4th song is a kind of ballad i can't think of it's name... but they put up this huge silk screen that blew up from the stage, threw some lights on it, and Prince just goes into a random guitar solo thing with his sillouette all huge on the silkscreen. He has a very strange shaped guitar, which looks extremely erm.. uncomfortably phallic (check out 9:50 in the video!) The end is alot of ooo-oooh-ooohing and of course the huge half-time show of fireworks.

oh Prince, how I love you so! emoticon

Re: Prince

the first one was a medley of popular covers. Done poorly. his guitar and vocals were way too loud. I missed the rest b/c i went outside to smoke.
