that's all true, really. There's the big debate on whether or not to make marijuana legal in the States. Sure, I'm a smoker, but don't legalize it! Once it's legal, it's monitored and controlled! I like it supercrazy and homegrown!
It's like drinking lots of alcohol before your 21st birthday (18th in NZ & Australia) and doing it because it's fun. Once you're of legal age, it's not as fun anymore because the danger is gone.

I don't think it would be like that at all. If marajuana was legalized. You could grow it yourself. Hell, even if alcohol is regulated, you can still make homemade wine and beer. The only thing that is illegal to make and sell is moonshine.

F*ck yeah you can complain if don't vote. You can B*tch about anything. It is your right as an american!!!!1
and until there is a "No Confidence" section on the ballot, chooseing not to vote might have been the smartest thing in the past 2 presidental elections. Cause no matter which of the whole herd of d*mb@sses made it in, you could not be blamed for there incompitance and they were ALL idiots that i would not even trust to tie my shose.
A lot of people don't understand that the president is not the ultimate leader....We are his/her boss. And i will not rase my hand in suport for emploies that i think are ill-equiped to do the job.
in buisness your success depends on your emploies. If they don't do there job correctly and work for the betterment of the company, the buissness will fail. And when i see that all the applicants are under qualified, I will not hire anyone of them.
A "No Confidence" portion will make me feel a little better about not voteing, cause i can still vote but cast my support for noone

i didn't vote because they instilled in my head that EVERY VOTE COUNTS!!!! (even though an electoral college picks our president) and if I voted, I'd be picking some dumbass. Kerry would have brought the terrorists home to our land, and Bush would fend them off with a nerf-bat and at least keep them over there.
But then again, I definitely would have voted for the half-crazy VP who likes to shoot people during hunting trips; if I had known it was to happen. C'mon, you gotta be somewhat crazy to run this country! </sarcasm>

You can complain, but what about doing something to help? I see what you're saying, but the only way that not voting will be viewed by the government, is with apathy. It just shows that people don't care enough. Even worse that choosing the least worst, is doing nothing and having to deal with the same bull****. I say do something. I'm not saying you don't care. I'm just trying to see both sides, the yes and the no. But, not voting helps as much as voting for the wrong one. And hell, if they're all wrong, you can write in who you think would be a better leader. Yep.
It's not like our vote counts. To really make it count, we'd have to get rid of the electoral college completely. Then, go by popular voting ONLY! That way, your vote REALLY counts. If that happened, then yes, there would be alot of dumbasses trying to vote for Ted Nugent, or other such non good choices. BUT, like you said. The president is just a pawn. He only has 1/3 of a say in congress. What is scary, is that he, as commander in chief, and whoever he or she appoints to be Secretary of Defense, are tottally calling the wartime shots. That's the worst thing ever. **** that.
