Re: Register Your eBay Code Name
Place a bid, save the item in your web browser’s favorites, then log out of eBay. When open the link to the item (without logging in) you will see your code. If you want to know it right away, place a bid on an auction that has just started and that you can’t possibly win for the initial amount. The example I usually give is a laptop computer that was listed an hour ago for $0.99.

In order to register you, I need your two letter code. To find it, I recommend that you place a bid on something that you can’t possibly win for the current auction price (like a laptop computer that is starting at $0.99), save the auction page in your favorites, log out of eBay, then open the favorite link. When you look in the bidder’s history, you will see your two letter code.

I can't find the letters a or k in "rotheit". Are you sure that is your eBay code?

Re: Register Your eBay Code Name
Spikosaur? Please pick up.
I was looking at this no-match wallet, and I noticed that the bidder's code looked familiar...because it is the same as mine! no-match wallet
Should we ask the cabal before every bid? Or, add the number with the colored star next to our codes to the registry?

Re: Register Your eBay Code Name
My feeling is that a cabal member’s bid is only protected if he/she is registered. If you don’t see the bidder’s code in our registry, the object is yours. If you see a bidder’s code in our registry, and you have reason to suspect that the bid was not placed by that member, you may contact the member through our PM system and ask if it is their bid. If they say no or do not respond in a timely fashion, you may place a contingent bid. Obviously, you do not need to worry about bidding against yourself.
Keep in mind that our registry is only for TLR objects and props. What you do outside of collecting is a non issue. The wallet you posted above is not an object or a prop, so it is of no concern to us.
I have considered the idea of including a member’s eBay rating in our registry. It doesn’t change that much, so maybe it would be a good idea. From now on, if a member registers here and includes their rating I will include it in the registry. It may also be a good idea to include your eBay trade name, especially if it is different from your cabal name. Right now, I would be:
o***a, 229+, spikosauropod, spikosauropod
You can register as often as you like, then I can update your rating. I keep track of these on an excel spreadsheet. If you register exactly as I have shown, it is no trouble at all to update the registry.
