I love this forum!
When Chuckles, Spike and I first started The Collectors, we wanted to make a place where fans of TLR could chat, help each other find the objects and promote the series but we didn't know if anyone would even join. I can say now, and I think I speak for them that I'm just amazed at the success of it. There've been a lot of really cool, helpful people who've passed through the room to share their insights, creativity and of course, their love for the series. We've got people who've made their own objects and been happy to share them and a lot of folks who've kept their eyes peeled for objects for other members to get. We call those folks"Object Angels" and the term is really apt.
There have been high and low points. Sometimes we'd go days or weeks without any activity, then suddenly it would pick up again as new people joined. Just recently, I thought we were winding down and then Jess came aboard to share his photos and BAM! we roared back to life.
So, I'd really like to thank him, and all of you who've contributed for making this one of the best forums I've ever been a member of.

Re: I love this forum!
I reiterate what Paul said and in spades !!
I LOVE THE COLLECTORS !!
When I first tossed the idea of creating the collectors we were all skeptical it would go anywhere....so we formed (Paul, Scott (spike) and myself) the cabal and within no time we went from 3 to 20+ members. From that humble beginning we eventually drew in The Creators themselves (Chris, Paul & Laura) and even Kevin Pollack too !
Jess gave us life again....we were winding down....we had poured over the series to where there was nothing new coming or to ferret out from screenshots...and suddenly we had Jess's pics of the sets and found a new life for we had TON"S of new Objects to see clearly and hunt !
It makes my day and I will be forever proud of what we did here ! we are the one and only TRUE & Best Lost Room resource in existence ! There is no doubting that fact.
Charles

Re: I love this forum!
Yes, I should extend it to encompass our continued journey. It will become a ballad.
I've started working on it.

Re: I love this forum!
I Sing the Praise of Collecting
(extended version)
I seemed to be established in profession, life, and creed,
Yet still I found within me some arcane untended need.
Then I found collecting—the objects called to me.
First there was the pen, then there was the key.
Then there were the cards, razor blade, and clock.
Soon my horde was growing: this and that ad hoc.
Chance would have it that I heard Apostle Paul
Decree that we would soon be forming a cabal.
This I quickly joined, and now I am a part
Of our unique, obscure, unprecedented art.
Now my life has purpose; now it is replete,
As I seek to make my vintage pail complete.
Hail Apostle Paul: a beacon in the night;
For though he is a bat, he led us to the light.
Praise to the creators who endowed our cherished room.
Praise to Founder Bunny, whose sin began to loom
For he was slow to purchase the sacred DVD;
But he was then redeemed, and quite conveniently,
For it was mass produced, in quantities too large,
So it depreciated until the final charge
Was but a pittance of the former purchase price—
And though the shipping’s slow, we pray it will suffice.
As our course progressed, other voices joined.
Standards were decreed; terms of use were coined.
Those who stand on high, smiled upon our search,
Granting audience from their lofty perch.
As the months went by secrets were revealed,
Opening our eyes to what had been concealed.
Suddenly there came a miracle so rare:
Paul acquired the scissors strolling through a fair.
Then, so unexpected, Sincox found the flask—
Adding fuel and fever to or crucial task.
Then there came that stunning post to our provision:
Founder Bunny found his massive television.
Brightly burned our quest. Glory seemed in sight.
Yet, there was to be a dampening of plight.
Our torch that burned so strong, now was growing cold.
It seemed that our great temple finally would fold.
Famine was upon us, damp and cold it fell—
Poisoning the stores; drying up the well.
Longing and despair—where could hope be sought?
Had the objects lost the powers they had brought?
Then our savior came: Albuquerque Jess.
Shoring up our faith and quelling our distress.
Images he brought, grand and resolute.
Pouring oil upon the flames of our pursuit.
Images that bore to our unchecked elation
A cornucopia of objects revelation.
Now our quest resumes, vigorous and bold.
As we strive to conquer objects once untold.
Glory to the objects. Objects are our friends.
Here’s to our endeavor: that it never ends.

Re: I love this forum!
I too love this forum. The people here are wonderful.
One great thing is the respect that is shown. By respecting each other's bids on ebay items, we are able to buy objects at much lower prices than if we all bid against one another. We allow ourselves to get bargains on Objects!
All of the Cabal members show great restraint. On top of this and even more amazing are our OAs who go out of their way to help other members on their quests.
What a great forum!
