Signing on from Upstate NY
So a little over a week ago, my mom finally got DVR for the family. This turned out to be more than just awesome, because it was exactly in time to record The Lost Room on Scifi at 3 in the morning, which I never would have been able to see otherwise.
Needless to say, I LOVED it, and so did the rest of my family. It actually kept me up all night thinking about it, after I watched the 2nd part. I am absolutely fascinated.
I was thrilled to see that there's a community online, for what seemed like such a hidden gem, and object collectors? Right up my alley! (I've already bid on ebay for one of Paul's little starter collections) I can't wait to get more (especially the clock and maybe the coat! XD Has anyone been able to *find a coat*?)
I read the interview you guys have on here- any news on whether there really will be more material, novels, etc, like he mentioned in the interview?
I am desperate for more material, is there any good fanfiction?

Re: Signing on from Upstate NY
Welcome saevita and good luck with my auction! I think you'll find we're a pretty friendly cabal and love to get new members to hear their thoughts and share what we know about TLR.
One of our founders, Chucklebunny did manage to find the coat. I'm sure he'll chime in soon.
We don't really know anything about any new Lost Room material. There have been hints at a novel and a comic book but nothing's confirmed yet. But I'm sure we all share your hopes for more, more more.
We do also have another member whose done some fan fiction here: http://www.hairresort.net/LostRoom/index.html

Hi Saevitia. Welcome to our cabal.
The only person who has bothered to look for the coat is Chuckles. You can take a look at his collection to see what you think:
Chuckle’s Coat
We really don’t know if there will be any more material. We do everything we can to promote the idea. That is most of the reason why we still sell props on eBay. We are even contemplating a write-in to Lionsgate on May 4 (Event Day).

Re: Signing on from Upstate NY
Thanks so much guys, I already feel very welcome!
Paul, I did manage to win your auction! Woohoo! I'm going to start a littlle display in the livingroom (but not close enough to the door that anyone can bolt with my objects!)
I had a look at chucklebunny's coat, look's good! I am still curious about the manufacture and style of the original coat- thinking about tracking down a clothes historian and shoving screen caps in their face. XP I''m a bit of a nut for clothes, especially vintage mens' clothes, so the coat is of particular interest to me.
I figured I'd have seen it if there was any news of more material. *sigh* Fingers crossed, eh?
Mmm, Event Day, has a nice ring to it! A write in sounds like a good idea. Ooooooh.... On a somewhat related note has anybody made up Sunshine Motel stationary? I know some kind soul's got the logo- if there isn't any already, I might make some stationary!
Thanks for the fanfic link, I'll take a look at it!
Chucklebuny, thanks for the coat tips, you guys really are the best TLR resource around.

Re: Signing on from Upstate NY
Congrats on winning the auction. I just put your package in the mail.
About the Sunshine Motel logo, ask and ye shall receive:
Larger version
I don't think anyone's done stationary but we do have a "gift shop" with some items with the logo on them here.
