Re: Standards
I´d say no Rollerball... the clothes were not present at the Event... becoming the Occupant is the event for Joe, but it is happening to him through act of choice... so I strongly believe it is personal event and only limited to his flesh.
What comes to standards the question is: are you going to held dogshows and award the Collector with best pedigree?
if not, a hobbyist should take the level of enthusiasm she or he has resources for. Do not kill a good hobby by rising the bar too high for amatheurs to reach... remember, no-one is professional until someone pays us salary *grins*
I would say the Spikes first description is the UTOPIA and not a standard... but for a dream that is an excellent putting it into words, Spike
For the latter I have to point out that Christopher, Paul and Laura have told us things outside the miniseries... are those revelations considered "not canonized"?

Re: Standards
Hello Cat,
you wrote "Christopher, Paul and Laura have told us things outside the miniseries... " Can you tell me where I can find out about these things?
Thanks,
Best Wishes,

Re: Standards
Just a note: we gave up on the idea of standards a long time ago. Instead, we adopted our classification system. Instead of canonizing certain items as objects, we classify them by what we know and how close they conform. Take a look here.

Re: Standards
Ah, yes.... so it seems! How about if you´d deleted some of these too-oldies? As new people come in they tend to comment on them... or just close them up.

Re: Standards
I personally am opposed to deleting old strings. In a sense, they are the history of our forum. It can’t hurt for someone to dredge up an old string. The worst that might happen is that one of us will have to point out that it is old.
