Does he have one? If so I could get a casting done and have copies made.

Re: Finaly the fracking real key!!!! ^_^
He dose have one i can ask him about that but i was wondering now that we have that information if we could find the right two parts and make the keys ourself. but i will ask him about what the possibilities are of casting the key.
but how would you go about getting that done? to begin with?

Re: Finaly the fracking real key!!!! ^_^
I'm a member of the Replica Prop Forum which is a group of professional to amateur prop makers. I'm sure someone there would be able to do it.
In fact there's a guy there now who's working on repros of Two-Face's scared coin from TDK that looks fantastic.

Re: Finaly the fracking real key!!!! ^_^
an update of sorts
my locksmith has been in business
for a very long time
He could not come up with anything
from the markings supplied by Chris
He passed me on to his supplier
whom I just emailed everything to
and I have been trying to research it
on the net I'm not finding anything
nothing zip zilch zero.
I found more leads without the key info
than I do with so I began thinking
about how they put words on "things"
and it occurs to me that perhaps
Fair Oakes
Niessen
California
U.S.A.
612A
is actually
Niessen Fair Oakes , California U.S.A.
I looked and there is a Fair Oaks (no E) in California
but that is about as far as I'm getting
good night
--- Be seeing you.

Re: Finaly the fracking real key!!!! ^_^
Hey, Tom
The key is a lock box key, I found mine on ebay. It's not dead on, but close. Search ebay for antique lock box keys. I pretty much stumbled upon mine by dumb luck and by staring at pics of old key auctions on ebay. Mine says Niessen Fair Oaks California USA and has the decorative beading around the edge. It doesn't say 612a. I believe that is the lock box that key belong to before the prop guys got to it and hacked it in half. Most lock box keys I have found on ebay have some sort of decoration. I think that is why they used one, It gave THE KEY its distinctive look. I'll try to get some pictures posted of my key next week. Since I'm fairly new at this could someone tell me how to post a pic. Thanks!
Hope I've helped the cause.

Re: Finaly the fracking real key!!!! ^_^
I remember speaking to a guy at bluedogkeys.com a while back who was very terse on the matter. After I didn't get a response via email I called and he basically told me he didn't have time for such a silly request and that he didn't want my business. It was really quite surreal.
