In the thrift stores where I shop, there are paintings hanging along all the walls. I keep looking for that painting. I guess I will have to step up my efforts and start sorting through all the paintings that are not hung. It’s a tough road we collectors hoe!

After various permutations on oak paintings I came across Berkeley Oaks and then Le Conte Oak. Looks a close match.

Le Conte Oak University of California Berkeley

It is apparently a tree at UC Berkeley. There must be hundreds of paintings of it. We have to find the right one.
