Actually Chuckles, I just reviewed the Wikipedia article and it seems to me that it still has a lot of problems. It should not include assumptions that we have made purely for the purpose of collecting.
Information that we cannot absolutely verify should be sharply qualified or altogether omitted. The article definitely should not say that the ruler is wooden, 12 inches long, and has a metal edge. However, many of the other object descriptions go way overboard. As collectors, we certainly have information to add to this article, but we have to edit it carefully.
Keep in mind that this article might be used by college students to get a start on a term paper and possibly even by scholars doing research.

It occurs to me that we are gradually moving from the role of being collectors to being stewards of knowledge about the objects.
This makes sense. As a group (that includes the series’ creators) we certainly know more about the objects than anyone. This is hard earned knowledge obtained by mining the internet as if it were an archaeological dig or an ancient library. It also makes sense for us as an organization. You have noted that our role would eventually have to change. This is apparently our new role.
If we are becoming objectologists we should probably discuss this new responsibility in some detail.

I’m sure it’s nonsense. Chris, Paul, and Laura surely would not post an object power until it had been published. Only the “creators” have the authority to create an object power. First God created the heaven and the earth and saw that they were good…then we read about them.

the wiki page says

we did not see this happen, anectdotal evidence suggests otherwise (to me).

I’ve been making the anecdotal and subjective evidence argument for over a year now. In my opinion, the whole page is too “Collector” oriented.
However, instead of haggling over the Wikipedia page, I suggest we get the catalogue done and let it be a guide for revision. It is easier to argue for how a thing should be if you have a working model.
