Object Angels
The Collectors recognized early on that as some members of our cabal began to fill out their collections, they may feel that they have no way to participate in the collecting process. For this reason, we invented the concept of the Object Angel. This is a person who actively helps other members, especially new members, in their quest to find the objects.
You will note that some of us have affixed to our signatures the abbreviation OA. This means that we have been recognized as someone who is interested in and has a capacity for locating objects and making them available to other members. It also means that we have officially accepted the duties of an Object Angel.
An object angel is someone you can look to and depend on for help in finding the objects.

Yes, that was a primary motivation for the idea. It now appears unlikely that anyone will become completely satisfied with their collection, but the object angel concept helps transform collecting from a revolving door into a culture. That is important to us because it is our best bet at eventually getting more TLR.

Would you really want to put such a strong religious association to the objects? We are trying to be as non committal regarding the event and the objects it created here, at least spiritually, right?

I think the word "Angel" has been under inflation for some time to turn into meaning merely: "A person that does good" "a benefactor" or "someone actively helping others without personal gain"
Think about "Charlie´s Angels" -nothing to do with religion
