CD Case Desk Calendar
Use a regular size jewel case with the black plastic insert. Slim jewel cases will not work with this project. Take the black plastic piece out of the jewel case by gently snapping it out on all sides. Discard. Gently snap both sides of the cover off and flip it over and snap it back on. When snapping it back on in this position, make sure you hold the two pieces at a 90 degree angle. If they are both laying flat you won't be able to fold the cover up. The cover should sit in the easel position. When the cover is on correctly, the calendar pages will lay back against it and rest in the inside of the cd case itself. You can print your calendar pages on jewel case inserts, or print them by measuring the cover and designing them to fit inside of it. Design each months page with different papers, photos, sayings, etc. Print out, cut to size and insert!

I saw another one on that idea also. I may make one of both. Go to the dollar tree and buy a flip album to put pictures in - you print up 4X6 calendar page and put them in the plastic slots or use heavy cardstock and punch the holes for them to put on the flip thing. That also lets you flip them over and if you want to put sports or family or pets on them it doesn't run you for broke for the pictures you print out. I had seen the one of the calendars in the cd case but didn't know it could be converted into an easel. Good going Crunchy.

Oh it just figures that I didn't get in here until too late to read your post fool! I hope one of these times I actually get to chat with someone in there lol. If anyone goes in there and my name is listed but I'm not chatting wait a minute or two. I am away for a minute and will be back in shortly. I stay in there for awhile at a time and just check it every minute or two sometimes.

I wish this site had a little chime or buzzer or doorbell or something so that you knew when someone was trying to chat. That way you could be doing other things instead of just staring at that screen. I don't know which one had the doorbell if you wanted to get someone's attention. That way you can play solitare, or do something else but just sort of hang there to connect with someone. On the other post I told you that Crunchy and I talked for quite a while tonight and that we are going to try to hit back there about 11-4 today. Please come and join in. We would love to have you. OK this may have been posted three years ago,but I'm brand new here and good craft ideas never go out of style. I really like this concept - not only for personal gifting, but for a class craft too.
