Business Card Help

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I create my own business cards using Print Shop 20 by Broderbund and Avery #8371 clean edge cards. I would like to add a yearly calendar to the back of the card. I tried to print, scan, and save a calendar and use that. But when I did the test print, the image was way too small. Not even readable. Thank you in advance for any help.

Virtual Nancy

Wow - I'm sure I have seen a full year calendar on the back of a business card but I would think you would need a magnifying glass to actually read it.

Does Print Shop let you create a calendar and then shrink it down? I just tried it in Printmaster and it won't even let you export it as a graphic that you can manipulate in an editing program.

Anyone else out there have any ideas?

I use Digital Image Suite (primarily)- and have used it successfully since it was offered as a full desktop program (I realy miss that part of it).

In DIS, you can create a basic calendar free-hand (there are full-year formats, but they would be too large), by opening a 'new' page, add a shape (preferably 2 - 3 times the size of your BC), and use the "text" key to create a basic calendar, using lines to separate the months (or twelve boxes of different colors).

Once the calender feels right to you, resize it to 4" X 7" 0r 7" X 4" - depending on orientation. Save it under PNG.

When you get ready to print it on the back side of your card, Import it and set it to 'scale to fit'. Be sure to click on each space individually.

Try a 'proof' print and see if that works.

As a Workamper, Ive created mini-resume cards. I use the 2X original sizing - keeping in mind that the point size of my text will be half that in print. Stay away from bold or serif typefaces, to keep it legible.
