Re: From Whiskers Workshop
Thanks for the compliments guys.
Yeppers, that's a cast iron spittoon with a porcelain liner. Picked that up at an antique shop in Hannibal, MO.
Jack, I'm glad that tamper is working good for you.

Re: From Whiskers Workshop
Whiskers, Jack,
I have a few of those myself. They really aren't the best looking pipes I have, but that's really not the point is it? Besides, if you go on looks alone, I have one of those mugs that devalues any pipe you put in it.

Re: From Whiskers Workshop
Amen Stump. I'll take an old beat up pipe that smokes great anyday. That way my mug can't devalue it too much.

Re: From Whiskers Workshop
I've been busy, and I just haven't said anything.
I finally had to ream the Rusty Brewster, took it down to far, so I'm going to have to break it in again. I actually might switch pipes though. I have an "Imported Briar" Oom Paul, that's just begging to be used.
As far as the work in the workshop, I got the second wall up and got the plywood on it. Now I have to figure out the shelves, and whatever. Turned out real good though, better than the first side. Practice makes perfect, or so I've been told.
Got a bit uptight though, so I had to take a break, and listen to some old music. "The Captain and Tennille, Love will keep us together." Yes, I have the album on tape, and yes, I do enjoy it.
Anyway, I'll write more later.

Re: From Whiskers Workshop
Thanks again Y'all!
Tonight was another "relax" night, for a change the radio station was playing some good stuff. I managed to get one shelf up, but to do that I had to tote another 3/4" thick, 4 x 8' sheet of plywood. As I get older, (yeah I know I'm a young pup still ) things like that seem to get heavier. I did get a bunch of angle supports cut for the shelves, so that was good.
I'll leave this post tonight with the fact that I heard, "Flying Purple People Eater" on the radio.
