Re: What are you doing this Sat. Afternoon?
So...it's the Labor Day weekend here in the "colonies". What are your plans?
We're having friends and family over on Saturday, for ribs and steaks on the grill, with baked beans, slaw and potato salad...you know, the usual fare. Monday, we're planning a float trip on the lower Jacks Fork...end of the season float. That is of course, if the rain holds off!
How about you?

Spent the day so far in the man cave watching it rain, burning tobacco, and listening to NPR. Been a great day so far.

Re: What are you doing this Sat. Afternoon?
A couple of errands this morning, which included a run to a local B&M for pipecleaners, oh yeah, they had some OGS, so I picked up a tin. Thought I exercised considerable restraint walking out with only one tin of tobacco.
Now, after a nap while watching the US Open - multi-tasker that I am - I'm continuing to watch the tennis and read a novel.
Sunny and warm Labor Day weekend on tap in the Mile High City.

Re: What are you doing this Sat. Afternoon?
we had twenty-eight in the Bear's Den yesterday...thankfully, no rain! Grilled three slabs of ribs, five top sirloins and a brisket. Potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, chips-n-dip, deviled eggs,two different hot salsas, and Boston cream pie. I think it was enough to fill up the whole crew.
Today is a non-day here, with scattered showers...mostly scattered over the Den. We'll be floating on the Jacks tomorrow.
Hope your weekend is as fun as ours......

Got chance to get in the workshop and make racks to fit in the smoking cabinet I made a few weeks ago;

Poor Jim, he clearly needs more pipes and tobacco. LOL
Beautiful work, Jim.

Reading Richard Clarke's "Breakpoint.". Gonna like this; within the first 25 pages he's aleady got a character smoking Latakia in a Peterson.
