Dunhill Mild and Ultra Mild

I was strolling past a smoke shop in a rather bleak region of Philadelphia today and in the window something caught my eye:

2 tins:

1. Dunhill Mild
2. Dunhill Ultra Mild

"Clearance 6 dollars each"! But... the darn store is closed on Sundays! emoticon

I plan on going back over there tomorrow and pick them up. Apparently Mild is a VA blend and Ultra Mild is a Va/Burley mix.

Anyone tried these in the past and care to share thoughts? emoticon

New ones on me I'm afraid. There were some pouch semi-aro' blends in UK a few years ago that were very mild and it may well be a tinned version of those. A bit off the mainstream Dunhill blends "designed for younger smokers" I think the blurb said.

Not had the pleasure Johnny, but at that price.....I'll arm-wrestle you for them! emoticon
Let us know if you get them, and about how old they are if you can figure it out....should be quite tasty! emoticon

Dunhill Mild is in a blue tin, going from memory.

I bought some a few years ago quite cheaply from a guy that supplied North Sea Oil Rigs.

It was pleasant enough, but very mild.

I think Jim is correct, blends for the younger smoker.

Well that let's me out. emoticon

Memory serves you right Peter - both tins were blue. Looks like I won't get over there until tomorrow. But I will post a pic of the tins in this thread in case anyone is interested in seeing them. And, of course, I'll let you know how they smoke!

p.s. is 37 young enough to qualify as a "younger smoker"? emoticon

Ya know Ted, I haven't gotten back over there yet, but I plan to some time this week.

It's kind of in an out-of-the-way area of Philly, but I'll get there soon, LOL. When I do I'll post.
