Best EMP Blend??
I am just getting in to English blends, a local B&M had some I tried and enjoyed. I understand Dunhill was the original? Well he will not tell me the brand that he stocks, So I thought I would ask you folks who makes the best version of this lighter English. I know McClelland has one and perhaps a few others, My baccy stash is getting a bit overrun with endless samples so I am just trying to avoid the lesser quality ones. thank you!

Re: Best EMP Blend??
You could give C&D's "Good Morning" blend a try. The tin description says in part "Reminiscent of a classic Dunhill blend devoted to morning puffing." I have not tried it yet but will probably pick some up soon. I was a big fan of the Dunhill tobacco's, especially EMP.

Re: Best EMP Blend??
Another excellent sub would have to be McClelland AM Pipe. I've had some samples of each to compare...not dead on, but VERY close. with some age, this should be a first rate tobacco.
Scott is an EMP aficionado...maybe he'll jump in here....

Re: Best EMP Blend??
Well as usual I'm late to the conversation. I actually haven't tried the blends mentioned by Jim and Ted; but they're now on my list.
As to EMP, my unsophisticated palet couldn't really tell the difference between Dunhill and Orlick blends. I know there were more sophisticated folks than I on SF who could distinguish between them, but damned if I could.
In the interest of full disclosure, I can't recall the last EMP I smoked. My fickle tastes have abandoned English blends and moved on to VAs. However, I'm sure I'll be back; as I said, I'm rather fickle. LOL
