a tupperdore is a humidor made out of a big (or even little) tupperware container. since they can be made to seal up air tight, they make perfect candidates for DIY humidors.

A good cigar can sure help things out at times. I smoke one once in awhile. A great change of pace emoticon

Okay, Next, How do you make one and use it? Hate for a cuban, or box full to turn into a useless stick. LOL

Steve,

A tupperdore is just a tupperware (or other brand name) container that closes good and has a tight seal. Depending on the size of the cigars, choose one large enough for them and another very small glass, jar, etc., to fit. You will need some florists' foam that absorbs water which will fit into the small glass or jar. To keep the humidity level at 70% you will need some pharmaceutical grade Propylene Glycol mixed 50/50 with distilled water or you can buy it premixed at any of the online etailers. If you had posted this yesterday I could have sent you both some of the foam and also the p/g formula. The formula is rather expensive (to me at least) when bought premixed. My pharmacist friend brought me in 2 bottles of the straight P/G 3-4 years ago and I just started on the second jar not long ago. I use it for my cigar humidors and tupperdores and a little goes a long way. I've never figured out how p/g knows exactly where 70% humidity level is but be assured, it does. emoticon

If you have a local florist, they will probably give you a small scrap of the water absorbent foam because you only need a 2"x2" piece for what you are doing. The jar you put it in doesn't need a lid but rather just leave it open. If you are going to smoke the Cubans before a lot of time expires, you could just use distilled water but it's not smart enough to know where 70% humidity level is. emoticon

Maybe by then I'll be sending you something else and can include a ready to use tupperdore for your cigars.
