RTR Pencil Stemmed Rhodesian!
I've become friends with a great Swedish pipe carver and have been the lucky recipient of one of his pipes he made just for me. He has also sent me several of what he calls his Rejects.
This pipe is one of those. It came to me with no finish, and the stem needed a bit of final sanding and finishing as well. With my wifes idea in my head I put a two tone finish on it with the top being dark and the lower half being lighter. I have had the pipe done for quite a while now and have finally had it on it's maiden voyage........
I filled it with a bowl of Hamborger Veermaster from Dec. 05 and I have to say, it smoked this blend very well, giving me some nuances that I have not noticed in the blend before. The drilling is top notch and it is effortless to smoke. It's a smaller looking pipe and still holds a nice load. I like the way it feels in both the hand and the kisser and am reminded why I like Ronny's work so much...........
