German Pipemakers: Uwe Jopp
Hi Folks,
In Germany we call him the master of the curved bores.
Uwe Jopp from Dresden began his pipemaking-career 5 years ago after he see a tv-report about the well known and reputated German pipemaker Karl-Heinz Joura.
Uwe was a pipesmoker and hobby-woodturner and so he started to make pipes on his own.
In the first times his pipes are a little bit indifferent to me, but soon they were great.
This pipe Uwe made for me three years ago:
I met him personally at the first time on the pipemaker convent in Fürfurt last year when he just began to make pipes wich curved bores. Great Pipes!
Nowadays he is absolutly perfect in this technique.
