Maker's Mark. Simply the best all-round bourbon on the planet

Well, I'm not so sure about that. I am personally a big fan of wild turkey 101. Good ol' kickin' chicken baby!! It is tops in the bourbon dept. IMHO. LOL

Re: Port and Bourbon

I was a regular, but not heavy, consumer of 'the devils brew' for many years. Due to various afflictions, I can't touch it now but it cant hurt me to talk about it...right ?!

The best bourbons are the oldest ones...have to have time to develop all those ketones and aldehydes that taste so good (and give you a horrible hangover). Jack Daniels Black Label fit the bill very well.

I got to where I preferred the smokey taste of Scotch and especially Irish whiskey such as 'Bushmills'
My favorite beer was 'Sam. Adams Boston Lager', but I usually had to go on the cheap with 'Old Milwaukee". emoticon

I've heard very good thinks about Basil Hayden.
Will look for this one the next time at the Liquor store.
