Ale or Lager?

I much prefer Ales to Lagers. My favorites are New Castle Brown Ale and Scottish Ale from a local microbrewery.

What's your favorite and why?

Cheers!

Ale, as to me they seem to be a little...chewier? I'm not sure if that's the word I'm looking for, but also I prefer darker beers (I love the roasted malt flavors) and most darks are ales. I prefer the grains taste to dominate rather than the hop bitterness and flavor.

I also don't care for a hoppy beer.
To me, ales have more nose and flavor.

Sammy's Black Lager is a good one.

Definitely more of an ale guy.....BUT, of late I have been on a traditional Pilsner kick (and that is a lager). So go figure. emoticon

However, if you asked me normally, it's Ales emoticon

I'm enjoying a pint of Guinness this evening. I like the rich creamy flavor and prefer the low carbonation.

One other ale that I occasionally enjoy is Boddington's Pub Ale.
