Re: Possible Forum Lighter!
Well I got a call from a Representative of Zippo that is going to help us out with this. Zippo actually requires a purchase of 50 lighters, which is way too many for our small group here. But the man I talked too told me he would make it work for us, so that we can get a smaller number of pipe lighters for our first forum lighter.
So it sounds promising.
This is where I need your help. What finish would you all prefer?
(1)Brass or Chrome?
(2)Brushed or smooth?
I've already found that you all prefer an engraved lighter and I'm with you all on this one.
What do you all think of the design I worked up? I also agree that the R.I.P. shouldn't be on it. Other than that, I like the look of it. The Eagle and Smokingood is a nice rememberance, and of course everyone knows what the rest are for......
Anyway, I think the lighter may actually become a reality. So I need everyones thoughts on design, as well as I need to know how many of you would actually like to have one.

Re: Possible Forum Lighter!
The brass cost a bit more, but I think looks classy. Here is another redition with some changes mentioned here. This one is Brushed Brass with Computer engraving. I took out the periods in the initials and also removed the R.I.P. Take a look and give me your thoughts.

I am all for the last one you have the link to. I like the look of the brushed brass.

I already have a brushed chrome, so I'm in for the brushed brass.

Re: Possible Forum Lighter!
Its a pretty good idea. Even tho I don't use a zippo to lite the pipe I still want one and I like the black best. It does hold up pretty well but over time will start to scratch up a bit

Re: Possible Forum Lighter!
I have two brass...but wouldn't balk at a third! Do we have to all get the same finish,,,,brass or chrome, or can we as a group get both? I figure we should be able to get between 10-12 lighter order....

So will the brass tarnish? I like it, but wondered about tarnishing.
