Stokkebyes Cube Cut

If you're looking for a real bargain, you need look no farther than P. Stokkebye's Cube Cut. At $1.26/oz(what I paid), it costs no more than the OTC's, similar to the best of them, but,IMO, better than any. A VA/Burley mix, this blend is higher quality leaf than you would expect for the money.
How much it's flavored, if any, I can't say; but, there are flavors galore: the VA's are spicy and the burley nutty with that burley "chest hit" I like with PA and KY Club. There is a musty, dark taste that even reminds me of Stonehaven or Kingfisher.
Bargins seem to be the order of the day at P.Stokkebye.

I have been smoking PS Cube Cut for along time. Great stuff indeed John! It's also a true cube cut. Like filling the pipe with BB's. The Red Virginia and Burley combination used is simply wonderful.

I have found with cube cut burley's E A Carey and Barbary Coast that when you have found the correct way of filling the pipe they are fine.

I mention this as the first time I tried them I tamped the tobacco down resulting in a very hot smoke.

I then was informed just to gravity feed it into the bowl.

Barbary Coast would be my favourite.

Agreed Peter...there's a trick to getting cube cuts to burn right. I gravity feed and tap the side of the bowl to settle the cubes, then light without tamping at all. Once the bowl is burning nicely, only occasional, gentle tamping is in order. ...and B/C is a favorite of mine too......... emoticon

I smoked some Cube Cut today outside. Even in the wind it burned slow and cool. This is a great outdoors smoke.

If you're a burley lover Gig, B/C is right up yor alley. From T-Reviews:
quote:

The finest cube-cut Burley, chosen for its deep, nutty flavors, forms a robust foundation for this sophisticated blend. Rich, red Virginia tobaccos are added for their subtle sweetness and complexity, while the unique spice of perique provides added dimension. A delicate kiss of brandy polishes the blend to a perfect finish. Barbary Coast is delightfully satisfying, with hints of black walnut, dark chocolate, and dried fruits. The perfect "all-day" smoke!

Give it a try...good stuff! One of the very few burleys I can smoke without getting fried.... emoticon emoticon
