One of my all-time favorites. I tend to burn right through the 100 gr. tin faster than any other baccy if I have it in the summer months.

Tried this tobacco a couple of weeks ago and thought it was fantastic, a really pleasant smoke and leaving a lovely aftertaste

It sure has been one of my favorites for a long time. I do smoke a lot of it LOL

i can't say for sure whether today's marlin flake (which is produced by orlik, by the way) still contains perique and cavendish, but a tobacco blender who was involved in blending it anew when robert mcconnell closed down, told me about those ingredients being present at that time (about 15-16 years ago, i believe).
likewise, old gowrie is reported to contain kentucky and perique, as is hal o' the wynd.
anyway, basically i guess one should judge a blend on how it tastes and smokes, so i don't care that much if a blend is changed - if i don't really notice it. the rattray's blends, though, ARE rather different today from 20 years ago...
