Walnut
Hi there folks,
Its been kind of quiet lately on this forum. People contemplating life with a pipe in hand I suppose. So I thought I would talk about a tobacco which I'm sure you have delt with already, but anyway, its called 'Walnut'.
I only tried this tobacco a few days ago and think the world of it as a all day smoke. I like burley though and smoke other burley blends as well eg: C & D Crooner PA, CH etc. The burley taste in Walnut I find earthy, nothing too cmplex, maybe for those with a much more refined palate will differ. But for me who clenches his pipe and smokes while working outside, Walnut is a pleasant earthy tasting burley with a very slight amount of latakia which does not overpower it and gives it a lovely lasting aftertaste. Its a great outdoor smoke which I enjoy in a Falcon bent pipe which doesnt change and believe can become a faithful companion to any pipe smoker.
All the best

Re: Walnut
Nice review Gig.....being "allergic" to burleys, it's not for me, but a lot of folks here are burly-holics. I expect you'll be hearing from them.....

Re: Walnut
This is one I have been wanting to try.
Sounds like a blend that I would enjoy.
Thanks for the review.
