I think it's due to the "flap" it causes when some idiot opens it upside down (like I did Steves yesterday) and dumps fine tobacco all over the place. At least I did it over the table and was able to save the baccy.... LOL

You need to label that thing...."This Side Up" on the top, and "Turn Me Over Stupid!" on the bottom!
