A Nice Rack!
I and Ken (The Pirate) talked a while back about a rack he wanted me to make. I have a design that I came up with and I made a few changes to come up with a rack that will hold 18 pipes total for Ken.
I'm excited with the design and I call it the Rest-Rack. The design basically shows the pipes off at an angle, and also lets them recline much like in a pipe rest. This rest however can be hung on the wall as well as set on a bookshelf or desk.
I made this rack with the extra wide spacing that I've used on all my racks and this allows it to hold larger pipes than most of the estate racks available.
Please let me know your thoughts on this rack design. It took a lot of trial and error to get it right, but I like the look of it and it holds all the pipes I tried in it very well.
I'm not finished with it, but wanted to show it here, in hopes that Ken would see it. He has been excited as well about the new rack. It still needs sanded and stained. Then I'll add a couple coats of hand rubbed tongue oil!

Thanks guys......... This one along with the Johnny rack will be two models I'll be hawking at the St. Louis pipe show next year.
I'll post pictures of it when I finish it.
Course any of the racks I make are available to members anytime just let me know what you want or are thinking you might want made.
